Remember this video we posted in August? We’ve got a profile up on Colin Rich today.

Rich considers the film a work of self-expression and, despite several offers from television producers, insists the footage is not for sale.
But its success helped him land new work for the production company he started with Ahmanson last year. He’s been shooting time-lapse images for commercials as well as for “R.I.P.D.,” a film starring Jeff Bridges that is scheduled for release next year.

Rich said the most common reaction to “LA Light” from viewers in Southern California was amazement — they’d never seen their city that way before.

“It’s just such a different perspective from being stuck in a car, waiting an hour to go down the road,” said Matthew Givot, a local photographer. “You realize the city has this incredible order and system.”

Singer Whitney Houston died Saturday in Beverly Hills, according to law enforcement sources.

Authorities are trying to determine a cause of death. It’s unclear whether she died at a hotel or in a residence, said the source, who asked to remain anonymous because the investigation is ongoing.

Houston, 48, was in the Los Angeles area for a musical tribute to music executive Clive Davis and had performed and spoken to reporters earlier in the week.

With these upcoming cold days, I started missing the summer more and more.. Last summer, I was in California (Los Angeles and San Francisco). Not only the weather was fine, San Francisco was even cold, but the food was so sweet. Why don’t they make food so good in Europe, does the government know this issue? We don’t have PF Changs, Jack in the box, Johnny Rockets etc. That’s so unfair, I really don’t see the problem why those restaurant don’t sell abroad. In the UAE, there are a few American restaurants, this is remarkable, is it all about the money?

Summarized: I’m hungry!
